Arg. Here we are on Sunday night (or early Monday morning, depending on how much fun you have with semantics), a few days later than I planned to finish up with actually making use of Tyrine's lovely gift-subscription. I made good use of the intervening time, at least.
This past week was by far the worst I've had so far in college - tests and midterms flying left and right, as well as a few work shifts and late study nights. And there was a certain mad dash to and from my dorm room on Friday morning that we're just not going to go into. As much as it would stroke my ego to say that I made it through entirely unaided, that's simply untrue - thank you, =
Blade-Of-Mako for making this dweeb's life seem a lot less bleak and a lot more tolerable.
But anyways, on to the meat (steak, if you will) of the journal post:
I will be writing on dA in the next few days. No, really. This is super-serious business. I'm sorry to disappoint the extremely small number of people who read my work that might have been drawn by Kin's supernaturally murderous escapades, but the new stuff will be about a different set of people in a different universe, and while there are some aspects of horror to the story (think Alien), that is not its primary focus. Not to worry, Kin will be poking around in some stories of his own before long.
Give it a chance, if that piques your interest; you might like it. It's five or so years in the making, so it certainly (hopefully) won't be lacking in depth or rationale. We'll see, at any rate, how well the wild ravings of my brain work on paper.
That's all for now. Keep an eye out in the coming days for a boy named Evan. What bright, thrashing daydreams he has.
